About Turning Point Coach

Denise Paech - Leadership and Life Coach and Consultant

Denise Paech, founder  of Turning Point Coach, delights in supporting others to clarify their visions, design solutions and take action that enables them to accomplish whatever they set out to do in their lives. In particular, she often works with women who are stuck with traditional leadership models that don't work for them. She helps them to find their own authentic leadership style so they can be the leader they were always meant to be.

Denise Paech first formed Turning Point Management Consulting in September 1999 in response to a growing need for organisations to access a flexible source of additional skilled management support. Trying to grasp what management consulting was, Denise’s then ten year old daughter concluded it was ‘doing other people’s homework.’ As that really wasn’t far off the mark for many managers, the business grew.

Denise came to recognise that her preferred style was to take a coach approach. Denise’s strength as a consultant was to leverage what people in organisations already knew, challenge their beliefs, explore creative options and support them to find and implement solutions that suited their particular business need and environment. She was not the consultant with a tool-box full of instant solutions and knew the perils of ‘death by a thousand initiatives’. (Doug Stace, 1995, a leading strategist, management author and facilitator of strategic change in Australia).

Turning Point Coach evolved in 2010 after Denise consolidated her foundations as a professional coach, completing initial training with Coach U and continuing her learning journey in Coach U’s Advanced Coaching Program. With strong beliefs in ethics and professionalism, Denise became a member of the International Coach Federation and has worked to achieve professional standing. As an Associate Certified Coach, Denise became the only, and first, ICF credentialed coach in the Northern Territory, and one of only 267 ICF credentialed coaches in Australia. She continues on this path and is working towards attaining Professional Certified Coach standing.

Denise remains in touch with organisations and businesses by continuing to provide practical management consulting support and strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of organisations in the private and public sectors. She uses her ability to think laterally, find creative solutions to long standing and complex issues, align corporate processes to meet today's challenging business environment, and deliver real outcomes and associated changes in organisational cultures. Focussing on clearly linking human resource and corporate initiatives and systems to organisational values and directions in realistic, visible and cost effective ways, Denise has successfully delivered a range of management consulting services including:
